Job Description
As a mover at A Move to Remember, you will work on the front lines of our daily operations. You will spend your day on your feet, working with a team to pack, lift, load, transport, and unpack furniture and personal belongings for our clients. If you like staying active, working in a hands-on environment, and helping people directly, this role is a great fit for you.
Responsibilities

Packing and Wrapping: Wrap furniture, electronics, and fragile items in protective pads or blankets to prevent damage during transport.

Loading and Unloading: Carefully load moving trucks to use space efficiently, balance the weight, and safely unload everything at the destination.

Using Equipment: Safely operate moving tools, including hand trucks, dollies, straps, and ramps.

Protecting Property: Set up floor runners, door guards, and padding at job sites so walls, doors, and floors do not get scratched or dented.

Customer Interaction: Speak clearly and politely with clients, answer basic questions on site, and keep a helpful attitude throughout the move.

Truck Maintenance: Keep trucks clean, organize tools after every job, and report any broken equipment or vehicle issues right away.
Requirements

Physical Capability: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds or more repeatedly throughout the day, including up and down stairs.

Reliability: Dependable transportation to work and a consistent record of showing up on time.

Teamwork: Ability to work well with others and follow directions from lead movers.

Valid Driver’s License: Preferred, but not strictly required. Having a clean driving record opens up opportunities to drive our trucks and lead crews.

Background Check: Willingness to complete a standard pre-employment background check.
