Built to be a better version of this industry
Our Story
Queer-owned, and it shows in the hiring
Trix founded A Move to Remember in 2019 after watching the moving industry treat both customers and crews badly. Everyone who enters your home is background-checked, trained, and paid properly. You will not be misgendered, talked down to, or made to feel like a job.

Bilingual by default
Spanish-speaking staff on our crews and on the phone. Estimates, questions, and move-day instructions in either language.
Regulated, and glad about it
Local household moves in Illinois are governed by rates we file with the Illinois Commerce Commission. That means our pricing is on the public record and we can’t invent a charge mid-move. Ask any mover you’re considering for their ILL. C.C. number — a licensed one will have it ready.
What we believe in
Empathy First
Every move has a story. We listen, we adapt, and we handle your belongings—and your situation—with the care they deserv
Community Support
We partner with local organizations, offer sliding-scale pricing, and reinvest in the neighborhoods we serve.
Excellence
Careful handling, transparent pricing, on-time arrivals. We hold ourselves to the highest professional standards.
Reliability
We show up when we say we will, communicate clearly throughout, and never leave you guessing.
Every item tells a story
We know that a box of family photos isn’t just a box. Your grandmother’s china isn’t just dishware. We handle your belongings with the care and respect they deserve.
From the first item packed to the last box placed, we treat your move like it matters—because it does.

Let's work together
Whether you’re moving across the street or across the city, we’re here to help.
