Our support team answers Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
If your move falls on a weekend, we are reachable that weekend for your move. Outside those hours we will return urgent calls when we can.
Before your move, email support@amovetoremember.com. On move day, speak to your team lead first — they are on site and can act immediately. However, you will be added to a group text by your team leader in case you need help with communications or clarifications on your move day.
FAQ
Yes, and we include it in our hourly rate. We disassemble beds, tables, and basic shelving before loading and assemble your items where you’d like it at your destination. If you have items that are unusual to disassemble, please let us know as we prepare for your move.
Ideally, yes. IKEA-like furniture with items still in their drawers can rupture, and we can not hold liability for damaged items due to the weight of your drawers. In all cases, glass-front, antique, and particle-board dressers should be emptied completely.
It depends on its longevity. IKEA is similar to cardboard boxes, in that it usually survives no more than 3 moves. In general, cam-lock hardware is meant to be assembled once and not to be moved out of the home again. Most licensed movers (including us) exclude pressboard furniture from damage coverage for this reason.
We move washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, and freezers. We don’t disconnect or reconnect anything involving a gas line, a water line, or hardwired electrical, but we can recommend folks who can. These appliances are moved within our normal hourly rate.
If a piece is genuinely too large, we will take off the legs or feet, take the door off its hinges, or plan to hoist your item through a window or balcony. In general, some items may get into your space, but could have a harder time getting out of your space.
Yes we can, however these items come with an additional charge. We do not hold responsibility for the need to re-tune your piano or organ after your move is complete.
Yes, and we can disassemble them as well. We also do not charge additional fees for these items. In general, the time it takes to disassemble these items can vary, and it can be extremely helpful for the team if you can provide this information upfront. If you have additional weights or accessories involved, let the office know so we can quote you appropriately.
Yes, and we have moved thousands of TVs in our time as a company. We either wrap it in a blanket, flat pack cardboard to cover the screen, or we can sell flat-screen cartons for the most protection. In general, TVs are also the example we use when we discuss Valuation. If you would like to ensure your TV is covered in your move at its value, we suggest you talk to the office about purchasing valuation.
