Local moves within Illinois are billed hourly. Long-distance moves are billed by the weight of your shipment and the distance it travels, which is why long-distance loads are weighed on a certified scale before and after loading. Illinois household movers file their hourly rates with the Illinois Commerce Commission, so the rate structure is on the public record.
